  The tech topic that was most interesting to me was IT careers. After researching this topic further there were two careers that stood out and piqued my interest. These careers were Systems Analyst and Data Scientist. Systems analysts look at design components and use their knowledge of information technology to solve business problems, whereas a data scientist analyzes and organizes data that can influence a business's decisions. Researching these careers will allow me to see if they are a fit for me to pursue as a future career.  System analysts specialize in analyzing and designing information systems that meet the needs of businesses or organizations.   Information and system security is a top priority for many individuals and organizaitions. They need to be able to keep a connection to the internet and keep their files safe in order to run their business. One thing that can interrupt this is attacks through ping commands. Two common ping command attacks are ICMP flood and ping of death attacks. The ICMP flood is a DDoS attack where the attacker overwhelms the targeted network with continuous pings. This can cause congestion in the network and prevent people from accessing it. The ping of death attack is a variation of the ICMP flood. This is also a DDoS attack, but this time the attacker sends oversized ICMP packets that exceed the packet size. This causes the targeted system to crash or freeze.   Computers are very important in the healthcare industry. Computers can be used to keep track of a patient's medical records as well as schedul e appointments. They can also use computers to keep track of a patient ' s vital signs. Another use can be disease surveillance. This is a computer-based surveillance system that is used to monitor the progress of ongoing disease control programs . Computers can be used by surgeons to create 3D models of organs to help them plan their surgeries. Computers are also used to ke ep track of patients’ prescriptions. Another use is telemedicine. This is something that became more popular during Covid. This allows patient s to connect with doctors via live video chat. This has helped to reduce the cost of treatment and prognosis due to access to standard treatment . Another use of computers is computer-assisted surgery. A ping is a tool used to test the connectivity between two nodes or devices. A trace route is a tool that is used to show how data on the internet travels from its source to its destination. The way that pings work is that the ICMP sends an echo request packet to the destination , and if the connection is good the destination responds with an echo. The way that a traceroute works is by sending the ICMP packets , and the routers along the path get the se packets. The routers use the packets to decide if they can effectively transfer the data.  These work by typing out the command and either the domain name or the IP address. The domains consist of .com, .org, . edu , and .gov.   Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint can all be used for specific things such as projects, keeping track of inventory, or data and essays. They are great for not only school projects but can be used by many different businesses as well. While using all three while documenting a day of my life it was clear that they all had their own advantages and disadvantages. Reflection is a great way to provide your experience with the application and will help to find out when each should be used.  Word works best when completing an essay due to its many different tools. Word allows the user to change the font, the font size, the alignment of the text, the format of the text, and it will enable the user to bold or italicize the text.   An app that I use regularly is Clash of Clans, this is a mobile game that I use during my downtime. The game is rather simple and is great for passing time or relaxing in the evening. It is an online multiplayer game which allows me to play with friends.      Usability-   Clash of Clans is rated E, and the recommended age is 10+ . The app is compatible with IOS and A ndroid and can be played on your smartphone, tablet, or Chromebook. The game receives three to four major updates a nd several smaller updates for balancing in between each major update.
