Documenting a day with Microsoft Office 365

Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint can all be used for specific things such as projects, keeping track of inventory, or data and essays. They are great for not only school projects but can be used by many different businesses as well. While using all three while documenting a day of my life it was clear that they all had their own advantages and disadvantages. Reflection is a great way to provide your experience with the application and will help to find out when each should be used.

Word works best when completing an essay due to its many different tools. Word allows the user to change the font, the font size, the alignment of the text, the format of the text, and it will enable the user to bold or italicize the text. All of these are beneficial when it comes to creating an essay. Excel works best when you need to keep track of data or inventory. It allows the user to create formulas to calculate data, charts that can keep track of a business's budget or how much a specific product sells compared to some other product, and tables to help track inventory. Microsoft Presentation would be best used when creating projects. Powerpoint allows the user to use any slides that they want and pick a design for the slides. It also allows the user to insert pictures with text boxes to explain them, as well as several animations and transitions that can be put on the slides or words on the slides. The application that I found to be the most useful in documnenting the information about my day was excel. This allowed me to create a table of the tasks and determine how much time is spent on each one. Microsoft word can be used by students to take notes and can be used by businesses to type up important documents. Powerpoint can be used by professors to create their lectures and by businesses to create a presentation for a certain product. Mircorsoft excel can be used by accountants to keep track of a businesses money made from sales and money that is need to make more products.
